Love this place ! Good camping g spot clean well maintained. Quiet great place for family and friends.
We watched the Solar Eclipse from here. We didn't camp but it would have been a great place to do so since it's such a centrally located spot to a lot of surrounding hiking areas. Best part is it's free! It's also off the beaten path from everything else so you feel like you're part of nature but still near some towns in case you need to stock up. Oh, and the guy who runs the site is super friendly and helpful and passionate about the Turkey Bayou.
Hidden jem of a camp ground. Great place for a camper since as there are no bathrooms. Fishing was a little rough. Lots of snags carp and gars. There are some catfish and largemouth bass. That's being said, being able to camp right next to the lake makes up for it.
